matchIn the second qualifying match of Eurobasket, BiH defeated Sweden with the score 74:71 in the crowded hall “Mirza Delibasic” in Skenderija. For our basketball players also cheered football Dragons, who are preparing for a meeting with Estonia on the 6th of September.

The match had a dramatic finale and 17-year-old Dzanan Musa scored key points. The most effective player was Jusuf Nurkic with 19 and Musa with 17 points. The next match for BH basketball players will be on the 10th of September in Tuzla against Russia.

Head coach Damir Mulaomerovic said after the match that the players were under great pressure, but he had special words of praise for the young Musa.

“Dzanan Musa is a project of BH basketball. He’s only 17, and he plays so mature and courageous. We should wait for players like Mirza, he is our leader. They all did a great job tonight,” said the coach.

“We need to repeat the first half from Permo. With this kind of atmosphere we can beat Russia and go to Sweden to achieve this victory. I believe in my guys. I believe that with Mirza in the match in Tuzla and with this kind of atmosphere, we can win” said Mulaomerovic.

Our team will play the second match with Sweden on the 14th of September.
