EU allocates 3.5 Million BAM for Agriculture in Bosnia

European Union project EU4AGRI published today public call worth BAM 3.5 million for the support to investments in primary agricultural production in Bosnia and Herzegovina with an aim to achieve sustainable agriculture, control of usage of natural resources and introduction of good practices, as well as creation of new and retention of existing jobs. This is a third public call published through EU4AGRI to support rural development, especially during COVID-19 pandemic and recovery from the crisis caused by it.

Public call is open to individuals, entrepreneurs, cooperatives and companies actively engaged in primary agricultural production in sectors: milk production, meat production, cereal farming, fruit cultivation including wine and olive growing, vegetable cultivation and egg production. Applicants can only apply individually.

Total available funds for this public call amount to BAM 3.5 million. Each applicant can submit application for funds in the amount from BAM 30.000 to BAM 200.000 (VAT not included). For every investment, applicant must secure co-financing in the amount of minimum 35% of the total value of the proposed investment, except for the sector of fruit and vegetable production where co-financing amounts to minimum of 20%.

Deadline for submission of applications is 15 February 2020 until 15.00.

EU4AGRI is a European Union 4-year project (2020-2024) valued at 20.25 million BAM that aims to modernize agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Project is jointly implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in BiH and Czech Development Agency (CzDA).
