Marcel Khalife, one of the greatest Arabic musician and composers, is currently visiting our country.

This famous humanist and fighter for peace in Lebanon gained his fame with songs like Ommi (My mother) and Jawaz al-Safar (Passport), formed on the basis of the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish.

Khalife won the Palestinian music award in 1999, and gave all the money from the award to the National Conservatory of Music at Birzeit University in Palestine. This singer and songwriter in 2005 was appointed for UNESCO Artist for Peace.

Khalife posted few photos from BiH on his Facebook profile. He posted the first photo on Friday in Sarajevo and wrote that he was “in isolation of Bosnia”. Khalife posted the last photo from Mostar.
