Kamberovic HusnijaThe first festival of history in BiH, the History Fest, will take place in Sarajevo from June 2 to 4, under the motto “Let’s open the history”. Co-organizers of the festival are the Association for Contemporary History, Historical Museum of BiH and the University Press in Sarajevo.

The first History Fest will be attended by famous European names in historical science (London, Paris, Berlin), including some of the most influential historians of our region. Historians from some of the most prestigious universities in Europe (i.e. the University Humboldt), as well as historians from centers of the former SFRY (Koper, Rijeka, Zagreb, Belgrade, Skopje, Podgorica, Bar, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Sarajevo), will be visiting Sarajevo next week.

Within the History Fest will be organized History Book as well, at which will be presented publishers of the historiographical literature of BiH and the entire region.

“This will be an opportunity for students and citizens of Sarajevo to get informed about the most important historiographical books of publishers that are specialized in the field of history. We believe that this will be a real feast of good historiography books,” said the initiator of the festival, president of the Association for Contemporary History, Prof. Dr. Husnija Kamberovic.

All events within the History Fest will be held at the Historical Museum, except the presentation of the book of Rasim Hurem about BiH in the World War II that will take place in the Bosniak Institute.
