This year, 1.411 believers from B&H will travel to Hajj, and this year as well the only organizer of the travel to hajj is the Islamic Community in B&H.

“Ikrar prayer was prayed in almost all jamaats in B&H, and a farewell ceremony was held for 1.411 believers who will this year perform the fifth holy duty – the rite of Hajj. All the pilgrims from B&H will travel exclusively by planes, due to safety reasons”, announced the Islamic Community in B&H.

The last group of pilgrims from B&H should depart on September 11th at 8:30 a.m. The pilgrims will spend the first ten days or so in Medinah, and after that they will head towards Makkah where the rite of Hajj will be performed.

The Ministry for Hajj of the Saudi Arabia expects the number of pilgrims from abroad to amount to nearly 1.335.000 this year, and around 185.000 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia should perform Hajj.

The pilgrims are already arriving in Saudi Arabia and as much as 99.000 of them have already arrived by Saturday; on average, 13.000 of them arrive daily.

The first group of BH pilgrims should return on September 28th, and the last group is to return from Saudi Arabia on October 1st. This year, the price of Hajj amounted to 7.490 BAM.
