Gazi Husrev-bey Madrasa in Sarajevo marks the 476th anniversary of existence and educational program. On this occasion, the central ceremony will be held in the amphitheater of the Gazi Husrev-bey Madrasa.
Special recognition will be given at the ceremonial academy for the affirmation of this educational facility. These special recognitions will go to its former students Husein ef. Kavazović, the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in B&H and Husejin Smajlović, the deputy Mayor of the Municipality Zenica. The ceremony will also be attended by other high officials from the religious, cultural and public life of B&H.
The Council of Professors will be held together with the ceremonial session on the occasion of the 476th anniversary of the Madrasa. This date has been marked since 1537 when the great Gazi Husrev-bey set the foundations of the Madrasa, which until now has bred numerous influential people that played crucial parts in the survival and development of B&H.
