The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision approving the allocation of 200,000 BAM from the Current Reserve of the FBiH Government Budget for 2023 to the FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) for financing the costs of the engagement of FBiH specialized units and protection and rescue services.

The FBiH Ministry of Finance and FUCZ are tasked with the implementation of today’s decision, each within the scope of their competence.

At today’s session, the FBiH Government accepted the initiative of the FBiH Prime Minister and his deputies to express gratitude for the dedicated engagement and participation of the members of the FBiH Specialized Unit for Rescue from the Ruins (USAR team) of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration and the FBiH Protection and Rescue Service formed in the FBiH Mountain Rescue Service during rescue operations in the province of Hatay in Turkey after the devastating earthquake that hit the Republic of Turkey and Syria on February 6.

Also, as a sign of gratitude for their engagement, it was concluded that the FUCZ should provide additional benefits for these members of the USAR unit and the GSS, due to the specific and extremely difficult conditions of residence. The missing funds for this purpose will be provided from the Current Reserve of the FBiH Government Budget for 2023.
