Hamas offered Israel the release of several hostages in exchange for a ceasefire.

As reported by the BBC, talks continued on the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Hamas has reportedly offered to release several hostages out of a total of 203 in exchange for a ceasefire.

They also report that Israel has so far not agreed to this offer.

Negotiations with international mediation regarding the release of the hostages are ongoing.

There was no official confirmation from either side about the details of the conversation.

It was reported that Hamas is not holding all the hostages, but that a certain number of civilians have been captured by other armed militant groups.
