Handover ceremony of four housing units to Roma families in Sarajevo, constructed within the project “Roma Action”, funded by the EU and co-funded by the local authorities, will take place on Wednesday, 16 December 2015, starting at 10:50 hrs in Gorica settlement (Crni vrh – Dajanli Ibrahimbega).
The Final Conference of this proejct will be held on the same day, starting at 11:30 hrs in Hotel ‘Grand’ in Sarajevo. Results of the project and further steps to support implementation of the revised action plans for the Roma in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be presented at the Conference.
The project provided support to socio-economic inclusion of Roma population in BiH through provision of housing and socio-economic sustainability measures with pro-active participation of local authorities. Through this project, in 14 cities/municipalities in BiH, total of 149 housing units were built/reconstructed for Roma families, out of which 64 using the model of social housing.
