DSC_0598An Open Day was held on the 12th of December 2015 in the organization of the International High School in Sarajevo. The Open Day started with speeches regarding the International School of Sarajevo in front of guests, parents and children.

Mr. Azur Avdic, a computer science teacher at the International School and Emir Kapetanovic, a student of the school, introduced the attendees with the history of the school, subjects that the school is offering and activities that students are engaged in.

In his presentation, Emir explained to the attendees that acquiring knowledge in the International School is not based on merely studying, but students have the opportunity to hang out together and learn a lot through various clubs such as sports clubs, cooking clubs, computer clubs and volunteer clubs. The above is also achieved via picnic trips to Bijambare, Stojcevac, Travnik, Mostar, Zagreb, rafting on the Una River, as well as other trips that students really enjoy.

Professor Avdic noted that besides studying, our students are going to various competitions, which are helping the students in their professional development, such as: the Olympiad of Turkish Language, visits to the Book Fair, visits of the Parliament, Spelling Bee competitions, BOSEPO Olympics, International competitions in physics, mathematics, IT, environmental protection and other competitions.

Furthermore, Professor Avdic stated that Bosna Sema Educational Institutions are offering scholarships for talented students, and students who participated in competitions, aiming to promote knowledge and help these children grow into successful young people who will use their knowledge to represent B&H in the best way possible.

After the presentation of the International School, the visitors had the opportunity to visit some of the cabinets in the school, and they listened to a short presentation by teachers and students from every cabinet. They had the opportunity to visit the cabinet of geography, chemistry, IT, biology, physics, mathematics and English language. After the tour, our diligent students presented some of the projects for which they received prestigious awards and explained to parents why it is so important to enroll their children in one of our schools, which can provide them with more than the knowledge that can be obtained in other schools.
