High school Meša Selimović in Tuzla celebrates today its 115th anniversary through a number of activities. Open Doors Days took place, followed by a monograph promotion of the 115 years of its operation and a solemn academy will take place tonight at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla.
The Director of Tuzla high school Azra Gazibegović said that in the last 115 years this school has educated 13.887 students.
“Many of these students are today leaders of companies, ministries or engaged in many other important businesses. Many of them are successful abroad as well. However, the thing that makes us proud and makes us special is that we carry the name of Meša Selimović, who was a student and professor of this school”, said the Director of the School Azra Gazibegović.
According to the Director, the monograph of 115 years of high school Meša Selimović is implemented thanks to Enver Bijedić, Minister of Transport and Communication of FB&H and a former student of this school.
“It is about memories of our former and current students about their school. This is a reminder of 115 generations and a monument to all the students and professors”, said Gazibegović.
