The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH approved today at its session, as did the House of Representatives recently, the Decision on Acceptance of Debt under the Loan Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for the Second Program Loan for the Development Policy of the Health Sector in BiH.

The total amount of this loan for BiH is 71 million euros, of which 42.6 million pertains to the Federation of BiH.

The repayment period is 18 years, including a five-year grace period.

As explained in the text of the Decision, the loan money will be used for reforms aimed at the long-term financial sustainability of the health system in BiH and improving the quality of health services and health outcomes.
