How much are Citizens of RS indebted?

moneyThe indebtedness of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska is on the rise. In fact, at the end of last year every citizen of this BH entity had a debt in the amount of as much as 1.955 BAM.

Worrisome is the fact that the loans of the citizens in the banking sector in the RS are increasing.

In comparison to the end of 2013, the indebtedness of each citizen in the RS increased by 105 BAM, when it amounted to 1.850 BAM, it was confirmed in the Report on the Status in the Banking Sector of the RS for 2014.

At the end of 2014, total loans to the population amounted to two billion and 594.7 million BAM at the level of the banking system of the Republic of Srpska.

The results of the population census in B&H for 2013, according to which the total number of people registered at the territory of the RS amounts to one 1.327.000, were used for calculating the average indebtedness per citizen in the RS.

The loans of the population include the loans of the banking sector, microcredit sector and claims based on financial leasing of the sector of leasing providers.

Loans to the population of banking sector amounted to two billion and 374.3 million BAM at the end of 2014, which amounts to approximately 1.789 BAM of indebtedness per citizen of the RS, on that basis only.

Particularly the loans of the citizens with the banks are in the largest increase in comparison to 2013, when they amounted to 1.682 BAM per citizen of the RS.
