poolMunicipal council of Novi Grad Sarajevo adopted the Draft of Urban Development project “Sports and Recreation Center Dobrinja” at the meeting held in March 2014.

Since then, urban project has been developed and adopted, which created the preconditions for the construction of the main project.

“Architect who is working on the main project of Sports and recreation center Dobrinja, in accordance to the urban project was elected, after which we should start with the construction,” as emphasized from the Municipality Novi Grad.

The urban approval was issued and the Municipality claims that the process of collection of the necessary documentation for the issuance of a building permit is taking place at the moment. Nevertheless, there are some problems on the relation Municipality – Canton.

pool2“The land on which the Sports and recreation center is planned is owned by the country but conducted on the Institute for Development of CS. Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo addressed the responsible ones twice in order to start with the procedure of transfer of the ownership from Canton to the Municipality, but since it is a complicated procedure, we got slowed down a bit. Since this is a public facility, not a private, transfer of rights of usage would still make this property as state owned. It is an administrative process that could be ended up by now, which unfortunately is not the case,” as stated from the Municipality.
