omerhuremovicOmer Huremović, a 57 year old Bosnian man who lives in St. Louis, Missouri, makes incredible bonsai trees from copper and aluminum wire.

He left BIH in 1992 and went to Munich, where he spent five years with his family.

After that, they went to St. Louis, a city with a population of more than 70.000 Bosnians and Herzegovinians.

He has been making these works of art in his basement for more than a decade.

“With this tree, my mind becomes free, and I am relaxed’’, said Huremović.

He added that the trees from copper and aluminum are a symbol of his and his family’s life.

He went to the US together with his wife Biljana and his daughter Tamara.

“It is unbelievable how much he enjoys his work. He has had difficult moments in his life and started a new life. These creations represent positive vibrations for him’’, said Tamara, who was 13 when she left BIH.

Eleadnor D. Ruder, owner of the art gallery in Delmar Loop, sold more than 470 of his works of art in the last nine years.

“These sculptures have a significant meaning for him’’, said Ruder.

Huremović sells his bonsai trees via the Internet. So far, there have been buyers from Singapore, Israel, Switzerland, Belgium and BIH.
