Fairs ekapija.ba“’Interio“, the 33rd International Fair of Forestry, Wood, Furniture, and Interior Design, and “Exterio“, 2nd International Fair of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture, were opened today in Sarajevo.

Fairs were opened by the President of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo, Sejo Bukva, who emphasized the importance of such manifestations as places where businessmen meet to communicate and exchange ideas, as well as to negotiate new projects.

Hajriz Bećirović, director of the Skenderija Center, reminded to present ones how the Skenderija Center in 1970, among its various activities, included the fairs. They managed to hold these fairs during all these years, despite all the difficulties they were facing with.

Bećirović wished a nice stay and the accomplishment of the planned goals to all the exhibitors, and invited all interested citizens to visit the Fair and find something for themselves.

Vice President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H Ahmet Egrlić said how Bosnia and Herzegovina records steady growth of production and export of furniture to Germany, Switzerland, etc.

This year’s exhibitors are Bosnia Beech Board, Bossin, Delux, Divan, Dženi, FEF Export-Import, Grantto Design, Izazov, Jasmin M, Kana N&N, Morea, MSD rol, Nobil, Sinkrom, Faculty of Forestry in Sarajevo, Tapetar, Textil-Art, and Zart.

In an interview for the portal ekapija.ba, most of the exhibitors expressed their dissatisfaction, since they have expected higher quality organization and more visitors. However, that did not happen today. Given that the Fair lasts for few days, they are expecting bigger interest.

Zehra Jakubović, director of the company Izazov from Kalesija, says that at the Fair she presented the new program of the company, among which are two programs they export to Netherlands.

Jasmin M presented the program that the company uses for the woods and weight lifting. Since this is one of the best products for the woods, they hope to establish a business cooperation.

During the fair, a seminar on the topic “Increased Competitiveness on the Export in Wood Industry“ will be held on March 19th, 2015 at 11 o’clock. The seminar is organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H. “New Technologies in Wood Industry“ and “How to Reach Higher Export Rate in Wood Industry“ are also topics to be discussed within the seminar.

Fair is opened until March 23rd 2015, and the entrance fee is 1KM.
