Indirect Taxation Authority officers confiscated valuable textiles – wedding dresses valued at  200,000 BAM in the Brčko District area.

Based on earlier intelligence information regarding goods smuggling acivities, Indirect Taxation Authority officers, from the Group for the prevention of smuggling and offences, at the Tuzla regional centre, performed a detailed inspection of a consignment which arrived from Ukraine. On that occasion, they discovered undeclared goods, i.e. valuable textile products, upon entering the BiH customs area.

The value of the temporarily confiscated goods is 200,000 BAM, and a Report on the committed criminal offense and perpetrator against the suspects shall be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the criminal offense Smuggling, referred to in Article 214 of the Criminal Code of BiH, was committed.

The BiH Indirect Taxation Authority invites all citizens to report any form of customs or VAT evasion on our hotline 080 02 06 07. We also invite all citizens and taxpayers who had any inconvenience with ITA customs officers or tax inspectors to report it on our hotline. Each call is free of charge and completely anonymous.
