Italians Claim: Edin Dzeko Accepts Offer, Joins New Club!

The captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team and one of the best players this country has ever had, Edin Džeko, has decided to continue his career in Italy.

According to information provided by reliable Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the experienced striker has reached an agreement with Fiorentina and should soon sign a two-year contract.

Two-year contract with bonuses

Džeko will play for the club from Florence until the summer of 2027, and will earn two million euros per year. In addition to the basic salary, the contract also includes bonuses that will depend on individual and team results. This agreement shows that Edin still has clear ambitions and faith in his own abilities – and at the age of 39.

An impressive career is still ongoing

Džeko comes to Fiorentina from the Turkish Fenerbahçe, where he played 99 games in two seasons and scored 46 goals with 18 assists. In his club career so far, he played for Željezničar, Teplice, Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Roma, Inter and Fenerbahçe – a total of 837 games, 369 goals and 153 assists.

For the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he played 141 matches and scored 68 goals, making him the record holder for the number of appearances and goals.

Hajduk had no chance

It was rumored for a long time that Dzeko could end his career in Hajduk, but the size of the contract he agreed with Fiorentina clearly shows that the Split club was nowhere near a realistic option. The financial demands are far beyond the scope of the domestic league, N1 writes.
