Jazz Fest – John Scofield in Sarajevo

jazz festThis year’s 17th Jazz Fest Sarajevo will present on 6th November at the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC) the American guitarist John Scofield to jazz lovers, who along with Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell are considered the most important jazz guitarists today.

Has gained  worldwide fame by recording albums with Miles Davis in which he was the author of many compositions.

During his career, along with his traditional jazz music he offered funk-oriented electric music as well, and was constantly open to different styles and his music is an improvisation and mixture of jazz, funk and r’n’b.

He plays 200 shows a year with a variety of his own groups, and the rest of the time, he spends as a lecturer at the New York University, announced Jazz Fest Sarajevo.
