The German airline “Lufthansa” has suspended today’s and tomorrow’s flights to the Lebanese capital Beirut, due to heightened tensions in the Middle East.
“Due to the current events in the Middle East, the Lufthansa Group companies have decided to suspend flights to Beirut until the end of the day on July 30,” the newspaper “Nacional” said, citing the company’s statement.
“Lufthansa” specified that five flights on the route to Beirut were suspended as a precaution.
The Israeli army has accused the Lebanese Hezbollah of killing 12 people in an attack on the Golan Heights. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the attack “will not go unanswered.”
