The rise of “Islamist terrorism” is noticeable in Europe and all countries are under threat, French President Emmanuel Macron said today.
Macron made the statement after a 45-year-old assailant, who identified himself as a member of the “Islamic State” via a video published on the Internet, killed two Swedes in the center of Brussels last night.
The French Prosecutor’s Office announced that 20-year-old Muhammed M, who stabbed a teacher and wounded three people at a school in the French city of Arras on October 13, swore allegiance to the “Islamic State.
“A similar thing happened again yesterday in Brussels. All European countries are under threat and the rise of Islamist terrorism is noticeable,” Macron emphasized after the conversation with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Macron announced that he could visit Israel in the coming days or weeks, Srna reports.
