b_161031084Malaysia continued its policy of support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of higher education. Professor Wan Sabri Wan Yusuf, deputy vice-rector for academic and student affairs of the University Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS) from Perak informed the Ambassador of BiH to Malaysia Emir Hadžikadunić about scholarships for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Scholarships for BiH students are provided by the Government of the state Perak. Apart from tuition costs, these scholarships include costs of transportation and accommodation, monthly allowance and annual costs for books and study projects.

Total amount of financial support from the state Perak for ten students from BiH (six undergraduate, two graduate and 2 doctoral) amounts to 978.506 MYR, which is equivalent to around 425.000 BAM.

According to information in the letter written by Wan Sabri, BiH students who are interested in studying at this University should submit their application three months prior to the registration period, so that the necessary administrative procedure could be implemented on time.

Ambassador Hadžikadunić recently met with the President of the Government of the State Perak Dato Seri Di Raja, Zambry Abdul Kadir, who is a great friend of BiH. On that occasion, he thanked for the support provided for BiH students in Malaysia and the President’s promotion of business relations with BiH.
