City Hall Exterior radiosarajevo.baThere are only few of these buildings in Europe that are a symbol of the meeting of civilizations, but which also synthesize the history of the entire country and the city.

The City Hall, which is located in Sarajevo, near Bascarsija on Mustaj pasha’s mejdan, is the most beautiful and the most representative building from Austro-Hungarian period built in pseudo-Moorish style.

Turbulent history and its beauty will leave breathless anyone who looks into its interior, color intensity and mosaics on the walls, dozens of arches, the Great Hall covered in glass mosaic, and a central stone staircase which makes this building as one of the most beautiful in the Balkans and an inevitable location for tourists.

“Since the opening of the Sarajevo City Hall in May 2014 to the present day, this facility was visited by over 150,000 people from all over the world, which is a very respectable number of visits with which we are very satisfied. It proved to be one of the main tourist attractions in our city and a must-visit place to all tourists who come to our city,” said job coordinator at the City Hall, Admir Dedovic.

“Our most frequent guests are from Italy, Turkey, Austria, Spain, France, Germany, and we are especially pleased with the fact that we are visited by tourists from distant countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, USA, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan , New Zealand, Malaysia and many others,” said Admir and emphasizes that all of them take very positive impressions after visiting the City Hall, and they do not hide their enthusiasm by the looks of the renewed beauty of Sarajevo and its impressive and rich history.

“They are delighted and full of impressions of our city, especially by its beauty and the kindness and hospitality of its residents,” stated Dedovic.
