Members of the B&H Presidency in a Visit to Serbia: the Arrival of Izetbegović in the Center of Interest

Presidency of B&H in Serbia dnevnik.baMembers of the B&H Presidency Dragan Čović, Bakir Izetbegović and Mladen Ivanić will visit Serbia today. The citizens of both countries expect the leaders to relax the relations between Serbia and B&H that are the guarantee of stability in Southeastern Europe.

This is the first visit of the BH politicians after the attack on the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić in Potočari, which should aim at relaxing the relations and lowering the tensions between B&H and Serbia.

In a special center of interest of the Serbian public is the visit of the Bosniak member of the Presidency of B&H Bakir Izetbegović, who found himself in no enviable situation after the attack on the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić at the marking of the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Izetbegović soon declared that he is ashamed and that Bosniaks are a hospitable people. Right after the incident for several times he attempted to contact the Serbian Prime Minister, who did not answer the calls that day.

Reasonable was also the reaction of Vučić, who at an extraordinary press-conference said that he is sorry that it is now being talked about the fools that attacked him, instead of the event itself and the innocent victims in Srebrenica.

“Neighbours, friends Bosniaks, I sincerely stretch my hand out to you, and do not worry about the fools that participated in this, there are such everywhere“, Vučić said.

The tripartite Presidency of B&H will today in Serbia be guarded by more than 2.000 policemen, and according to the announcement the safety measures will be at the highest level today.
