A meeting by leaders of the members of the region “Drina Sava” was held in Brčko, where they signed a memorandum of understanding. The goal is regional cross-border cooperation and joint action of municipalities from Serbia, Croatia and BiH in rural development and sustainable economic growth of this region.

“This is a really big event for us in the Brčko District because we find ourselves in a time where the crisis took on a large momentum and it is necessary to exchange good practices in creating programs that would boost employment’’, said the Mayor of Brčko Anto Domić.

The Assistant Minister for Agriculture in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations BiH Dušan Nešković said how the Ministry has so far provided support to these kinds of joint projects.

“We will continue to encounter cross-border cooperation so that each of the involved parties in this process demonstrate their priorities, specific features and ideas, and all in the goal to provide full support to rural development’’, said Nešković.
