poslovni_ljudiBy the end of this year, more than 700 young people will receive the chance to conduct their internships in public institutions and companies.

The Public Institution for Employment of Canton Sarajevo signed today agreements with representatives of the companies Energoinvest, Argeta d.o.o, Home for Elderly and Disabled Peoples Nahorevo, Children’s Home Bjelave, KJU Family Counselling and Euro-Asfalt d.o.o.

“We will strive to think of other active measures with the help of the resource ministry and the Canton Sarajevo Assembly, since the situation is already alarming. There is not magic wand that would resolve this unemployment rate (more than 72.000 unemployed in Canton Sarajevo) for half a year to a year. We have to change the access policy, to conduct market research in a new way, to align demand and supply, enrollment policy in secondary schools and higher education institutions, so that after graduation they would not become accustomed to using the services of the employment services long-term. Unfortunately, today this has become a charitable institution today’’, said the Director of the Employment Agency of Canton Sarajevo Igor Kamočaji.

The call for employers to participate in the program of co-financing the employment of interns was published on 15 March this year and it was open for one month. 726 employers applied, who submitted applications for 2.055 people. Unfortunately, not everyone was accepted.

For this internship program more than 4 million KM will be spent.
