Most Tourists in the FB&H in December from Croatia and Turkey

tourismTotal number of tourist arrivals in December 2015 in the FB&H amounted to 37,082, which is by 10.3 % more in comparison with December 2014, and lower by 1.9 % compared to November 2015.

The share of domestic tourists was 45.9 % and share of foreign tourists was 54.1 %.

The total number of overnight stays in December 2015 amounted to 64,932, which is 12.0 % more than in December 2014, and by 8.5 % lower in comparison to November 2015.

The share of domestic tourists was 41.6 % and share of foreign tourists was 58.4 %.

According to the type of accommodation facilities, the highest number of overnight stays was realized through hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 95.0 %, as reported by Fena.

In the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, most of the overnight stays were realized by tourists from Croatia (20.5 %), Turkey (10.0 %), Italy (7.0 %), Serbia (6.1 %) and Germany (5.4 %), which makes a total of 49.0 %. Tourists from other countries realized a total of 51 % of overnight stays, according to the data of the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

There were 19,769 available beds in the FB&H in December 2015, which is by 7.0 % more than in December 2014.

Net utilization rate of beds in FB&H was 11.4 %.
