Municipality Šamac Intends to Employ Around 100 People

SamacMunicipality Šamac intends to encourage the creation of hundreds of new jobs in the production of footwear and tobacco.

The head of the department for Economy Milan Simić said that there is 50.000 KM in the budget this year to encourage employment, but he thinks that more will be needed by the end of the year, said on the website of the municipality.

They intend to employ 60 people in the next four months.

Simić said that a tobacco processing plant is expected to open soon, which would employ between 20-25 people.

He said that municipality Simić invests also in agriculture, and through the cross-border cooperation program of IPA funds two systems of irrigation have been provided that will be of service to farmers next year.
