The solemn ceremony of handing over three isolation chambers of negative pressure, IsoArk N-36-2 to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, donated by the NATO Trust Fund to the Ministry of Defense of BiH, was held on Thursday, in the Rajlovac barracks near Sarajevo.

The joint ceremony was attended by Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Sajinovic and associates, Deputy Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo Brigadier Olcay Denizer, US Military Attaché to BiH Colonel Michael Tarquinto, Czech Military Attaché Colonel Radomir Kuzma and representatives of the BiH Armed Forces.

The IsoArk N-36-2 Isolation Chamber is an ideal temporary solution for the rapid isolation of a person or object considered to be contaminated with infectious agents before they are moved to an isolated area or until final treatment.

The isolation chamber is equipped with its own negative pressure air filtration system to ensure maximum protection and operational safety.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier Olcay Denizer, said that the COVID-19 pandemic brought us all lessons to learn from, and showed how much we need the best possible medical services.

“The pandemic has not stopped yet, that is why we cannot postpone the strengthening of our capacities in order to be as ready as possible for future challenges. This is a fantastic example of what NATO really represents, and that is cooperation, friendship and building cooperation.

“I am very proud to be here today in front of NATO to hand over this equipment to the authorities in BiH,” Denizer concluded.
