Member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović supported the normalization of relations between BiH and Serbia, stating that he recently agreed with the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić to hold a trilateral meeting in Istanbul with the Presidents of Turkey, BiH and Serbia.

Izetbegović said on the Radio Beograda 1 show ‘’Sedmica” (Week) that he recently met with Nikolić, while they waited together at a reception with US President Barack Obama.

‘’We spoke for about 40 minutes. It was a friendly and amicable conversation. From what I saw, he is an open and honest man’’, said Izetbegović, who recalled that this meeting with Nikolić was monitored by the media.

Izetbegović said that is when he had agreed with Nikolić to hold a trilateral meeting in Istanbul with the Turkish president Abdulah Gul, where they would speak about the improvement of BiH-Serbia relations.
