Number of SMS Messages sent, Calls and Number of Fixed Telephone Lines decreased in 2018

A total number of fixed telephone lines of dominant operators in the fourth quarter of 2018 was 599.642which represents a decrease of 5,3% compared to the fourth quarter 2017th.

The total traffic of the fixed telephone network in the fourth quarter of 2018 was je 426.990.705 minutes which shows a decrease of 9,1% compared to fourth quarter of 2017, BiH Agency for Statistics reports.

A number of mobile phone users in the fourth quarter of 2018 were 3.461.058 which shows an increase of 0,6% compared to the fourth quarter 2017th year. The total traffic of a mobile telephone network in the fourth quarter 2018 was561.093.626 minutes which shows a decrease of 2,2% compared to the fourth quarter 2017th year.

The number of SMS messages sent in the fourth quarter 2018 decreased by 15,5%, while the number of MMS messages sent increase by 1,4% compared to the fourth quarter 2017th.

The total number of Internet connections via the fixed network in the fourth quarter of 2018 was 693.554 an increase of 0,6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2017.
