In the past several years, tourist agencies in BiH included some of the exotic destinations in their offer, such as the Maldives, Cuba, Dubai, Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), and interest among the BiH citizens, or at least those with deeper pockets, certainly exist.
There are no more rules, thus these destinations are “in” even in the winter period. Instead of visiting the mountains, the BiH citizens spend winter on the beaches under the sun.
One must pay nearly 3.000 BAM for a one-week stay in the Maldives in a four-star hotel, price increased with the additional services being included in the basic package.
One will pay 1.000 BAM for eight days spent in Dubai.
Eight-day package in Rio de Janeiro (bed and breakfast) in a four-star hotel costs 2.100 BAM per person. One of the most famous world beaches, the Copacabana, is filled with tourists from around the world. The largest number of Bosnians and Herzegovinians visited Rio de Janeiro during the World Football Championships in 2014.
