Police of the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina today arrested two persons and seized drugs worth about 500 thousand BAM as part of the international operation codenamed “Korov”.
“In three locations, narcotic drug plantations with a total of 302 stems of “Indian hemp” were found, as well as complete cultivation equipment and other items important for criminal proceedings,” the Brcko District police said.
Two persons with the initials K.P. were caught in the act of committing a criminal act. and K.K. who are deprived of their liberty and are subject to further criminal processing.
Under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Brcko District of BiH, an on-site investigation was carried out, and two persons, houses and auxiliary buildings were searched in the area of Gornja Skakava, and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Austria were requested to conduct searches on the territory of these countries.
“A report will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the suspects on grounds of suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of “Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs”, the statement added.
