Presiding of BiH over the CEFTA in this year will be the opportunity to draw attention on contract breaches by countries of CEFTA, especially Croatia and Serbia, especially when it comes to non-tariff and technical barrier, said to FENA economic analyst of BiH Foreign Trade Chamber Duljko Hasić.

‘It is the opportunity for BiH to draw the attention that the principles of CEFTA must be respected. On the other hand, it is also the opportunity to draw the attention of insufficient use the possibilities of CEFTA in its all forms of cooperation; in the field of trade, in the field of intellectual property; in the field of procurements and joint usage of possibility related to the accession to the EU’, said Hasić.

He added that BiH is lagging behind in those fields, and this presiding will be the opportunity to use the potentials of countries of the region, the countries of CEFTA.

‘The exit of Croatia from CEFTA and its accession to the EU is going to be a novelty that we’ll have to focus on. For that period we need adequate preparations and we’ll probably have to sign separate trade agreements’, said Hasić.

In BiH Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Economic Relation, tomorrow, at 12 o’clock, priorities of one-year presiding of BiH over CEFTA will be presented.
