The new prices of cigarettes were applied in BiH since January 1, and as of March 1, the prices of 67 types of cigarettes will be additionally increased. This will be a new impact on smoker’s pockets, and the company TDR Sarajevo will increase its prices.
From the company TDR stated that the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (ITABiH) already announced that prices of certain types of cigarettes will be increased.
The price of all types of York will be increased by 10 fenings, and the price of that type of cigarettes will amount to 4,50 BAM per package. Moreover, the price of Downhill, Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, Rothmans, Eva Slims, Aura, Code, 8, Diva and Royal will be increased by 10 fenings.
“The change in retail price, i.e. the new price-list of products with retail prices, will be valid from March 1,” as announced by TDR. The price of 67 types of cigarettes will be increased by 20 fenings.
From ITA BiH was stated that, although the new prices of cigarettes were adopted from January 1, 2018, the formation of prices depends on the company and the producer. They noted that large distributors are forming prices on their own and in accordance with their business policy, and that prices of cigarette and tobacco can be changed during the year.
To recall, BH citizens are paying two types of excises on package of cigarettes – proportional and fixed.
