taxesThe House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH at yesterday’s session did not adopt the Proposed Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Broadcasting System of BiH, which was proposed by ministers Amir Fazlic and Mirsad Djonlagic, and which envisaged payment of RTV tax through electricity bills.

Ministers from Republika Srpska (the RS) voted against the proposed law.

The proposed law envisaged that the income from the RTV tax and the net income from the marketing advertising, gets divided into three public broadcasting services – 40% of total income would belong to BHRT, 30% to RTRS and 30% to Radio-Television of FBIH.

Before voting on the text of the law, the ministers did not accept any of the amendments proposed by Nikola Lovrinovic and Stasa Kosarac.
