12784197_1733368730233137_761881547_nAmer Kapo was appointed for the acting Director of KSC Skenderija a week ago. His wish is to increase revenues and to do what it takes to improve the situation in Skenderija.

He thinks that Skenderija must adapt to the market, because a new environment is created for the citizens and Skenderija must adapt as well. He emphasized the importance of the Commercial city in which everyone used to come to shop for a piece of clothing or shoes, but also to grab a lunch or a cup of coffee.

“We have the Commercial city in which everyone was coming and hopping. The market made its influence and now half of the space is empty. These people feed their family from the money that they earn. It is certain that I will not allow more empty space. Empty space is our problem and we’re going to change our business vision. In a month, we will participate at an event to introduce our business policy. We’re going out there to attract people, and therefore we will attract people who will increase the revenue of Skenderija. The situation is bad everywhere, but if we offer quality projects and programs, we can succeed. We cannot allow young people who fought for this country to think to go somewhere else from here. We have to provide them a source of income. Our space is empty, and they have no jobs. Our desire is to convert our business space into a business incubator that will serve to young people” said Amer Kapo.

He especially recalled the importance of Skenderija as the object for all the citizens of Sarajevo but also for the country. Skenderija is a symbol of the city and the country. Convenience of cultural and sports center is that it is connected with all the facilities that have a different purpose.

“I can safely promise that the plateau will be reconstructed soon, and preparation of the project is currently taking place. We are missing few resources and as soon as we get them, the works will start. The biggest problem is the decline in revenue. Skenderija was one of the largest fairgrounds in BiH. Currently, the largest is the Book Fair, it attracts visitors, and everything else is not on the level,” stated Kapo.

Besides the Commercial city, his desire is to return the fairs to Skenderija and offer quality, to bring people to the fairs, and Skenderija will thus have a higher income.

Kapo finally said that he is ready for a joint success, and he hopes that basketball Euroleague will be played in the hall “Mirza Delibasic” and that Skenderija will be revived at its full capacity.
