How is the Reconstruction of Water Supply Network in Sarajevo Canton going?

Water Supply klix.baFirst and the hardest section of reconstruction of water pipes in the Sarajevo Canton is nearly finished, and works that are being conducted according to the planned dynamics are nearing completion.

According to the Director Executive for Water Supply System of the Cantonal Public Utility Enterprise Water Supply and Sewerage (VIK) Kenan Đipa, 150 meters of old pipes that leaked water on every six meters were replaced.

Đipa said that the water supply network suffered heavy losses because of this, and another 1.700 meters of water supply pipes are yet to be replaced. Due to the reconstruction of the water supply network on the main city road in Sarajevo, in the Obala Kulina bana Street, one traffic lane is in function.

Works on the reconstruction of the water supply network from Skenderija to the City Hall, at the territory of municipalities Centar and Stari Grad in the length of two kilometers, began ten days ago. Contractor is the company Mibral Ltd.

Completion of reconstruction is expected in three months. Works are worth 1.100.000 BAM and are financed by the Sarajevo Canton, through the Ministry of Utility Economy and Infrastructure of the Sarajevo Canton.
