buna_mostarThe Assistant FB&H Minister for Environment and Tourism in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Nedjeljko Babić said that based on the appearance of tourist agencies and tourist offices at a number of fairs that were held at the beginning of the year points in the direction that this could be one of the record tourist years in the FB&H.

In support of this, Nedjeljko Babić told the media about a number of announced events this year, which includes the marking of the 100 years since the Sarajevo assassination.

According to statistics from the B&H Statistics Agency, last year in B&H there were 844.189 visits, which was 12,9 percent more in comparison to the previous year, and 1.822.927 nights or 10,8 percent more in comparison to 2012.

Tourism officials from all over B&H expect an enhancement of promotional activities, improvement in infrastructure and expansion of tourism facilities and events in B&H, which could soon exceed the figure of one million tourists.

This is confirmed by the interest of tourists, as well as global media for main tourist destinations in B&H, especially for the capital city of B&H, then Banja Luka, Mostar, Međugorje and other tourist destinations, in the areas of adventure, rafting and mountain tourism.

The tourist offers from all over B&H were presented at the beginning of the year at several large international tourist fairs, from Berlin, Munich, Prague, Belgrade, Nis, Budva, etc.
