Republika Srpska adopts a Set of Laws on Salary Increases

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted a set of laws on salary increases in that entity, which increase salary coefficients by a certain percentage so that all employees receive a salary increase of 100 BAM.

This is one of the measures of the Government of Republika Srpska that contributes to economic growth and the increase of workers’ wages, as well as to the improvement of the economic and social position of employees.

The Law on Salaries of Employees in Public Institutions in the Health Care Sector of the Republika Srpska, the Law on Salaries of Employees in Public Services of the RS, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Field of Higher Education and Student Standards and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries were adopted under an urgent procedure of employees in primary and secondary schools and student dormitories.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Field of Culture of the RS, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Wages of Employees in Administrative Bodies, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Wages of Employees in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Wages of Employees in the judicial institutions of the RS.

The MPs also adopted the decision on long-term borrowing of Republika Srpska for this year.

Before the vote, the newly elected judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Srpska Ivanka Markovic and Ombudsman for Children Gordana Rajic took the oath in the National Assembly of the RS.
