Sarajevo Insurance Maintained Leadership Position in BiH Insurance Market

The meeting of shareholders of Sarajevo Osiguranje (Sarajevo Insurance) adopted a report at today’s session on the activities of this company for 2012, and which states that Sarajevo Osiguranje achieved 64.5 million KM insurance premiums and 1.5 million KM in profits.

According to the results, Sarajevo Osiguranje maintained a leadership position in the insurance market in BiH with a market share of 12,7 percent at the level of BiH, or 17,6 percent among the companies based in the FBiH.

The leading BiH insurance company achieved a growth of premium income by 3,2 percent or 2,1 million KM in comparison to a year earlier.

At the same time, Sarajevo Osiguranje paid a record 29,8 million KM to its policyholders an clients for damages for certain types of insurance.

Among the damages was 2million KM pre-war claims on obligations that occurred before 1992.

Despite the difficult business conditions and in the first two months of 2013, Sarajevo Osiguranje maintained a leadership position among the 25 insurance companies in the BiH insurance market.
