As a result of the continuous implementation of operational activities, the Service for Foreigners (SPS) has in the last three months, due to illegal entry or residence, imposed a measure of expulsion for 401 foreign citizens with a ban on entry and residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Morocco, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Nepal and Turkey.

In November alone, the expulsion measure was imposed on 114 foreign nationals. These foreign nationals are placed under surveillance in the Immigration Center or their movement to a certain place is restricted until they leave the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the last three months, the service has removed 310 foreign citizens from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are mostly citizens of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Morocco, Tunisia, Iraq, Bangladesh and Turkey. Foreign nationals were previously ordered to be expelled and remained under supervision at the Immigration Center until they were removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the same period, based on the Readmission Agreement with the countries of the region, 43 foreign citizens were returned to the Republic of Serbia, 18 foreign citizens were returned to Montenegro, while four foreign citizens were returned to the Republic of Croatia.

The service, alone or in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, has returned 245 foreign nationals to their countries of origin in the last three months. During November, 92 foreign citizens were removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pursuant to the Readmission Agreement with the Republic of Serbia, seven foreigners were returned to the Republic of Serbia, while under the Readmission Agreement with Montenegro, three foreigners were returned to Montenegro. The service returned 82 foreign nationals independently or in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration to the countries of origin. Since the beginning of 2020, the Service for Foreigners has registered 15,520 migrants, which is 46 percent less than in the same period last year when the Service registered 28,789 migrants.
