Signing of a Loan Agreement With EBRD Today

una_kostelaThe General Director of Elektroprivreda B&H Elvedin Grabovica and the director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in B&H Libor Krkoska at the premises of the Government of FB&H will sign today a loan agreement for implementation of the project “Vranduk” and capacity expanding of “Una Kostela” .

The EBRD loan of 35 million euros is the first corporate credit granted for EP B&H without the intervention of the state and state guarantees. For the construction of “Vranduk” are planed 26 million euros, while for HE “Una Kostela“ nine million euros are planned.

The construction of “Vranduk” will enable the production of the so-called green energy, contribution to the overall reduction of CO2 emissions and other pollutants, contribution to economic development of the Canton Zenica-Doboj. The Expanding of “Una Kostela” will be a significant step in solving the problem of the lack of electricity in the Una-Sana Canton.
