solak3Fahrudin Solak, director of the Federal Civil Protection, stated that the rain stopped in most parts of the FB&H and the situation is not dramatic in any municipality.

“Even in places where rain is still falling, we are expecting, according to forecasts that rainfall stops during the night. The biggest problem for us are flooding streams and unsolved surface water drainage systems,” said Solak.

According to him, the most difficult situation was on the south of B&H and in the western regions of our country.

“Flooding of the large rivers is not the threat for us. There are no victims for now, human lives were not threatened anywhere today,” added Solak.

Solak said that even though floods were not big, there was still some damage.

“Farmers, especially on the south of our country, suffered the most damage. Una Sana Canton also had some damage as well as some local and regional roads. In the area of Tuzla Canton, we had only several minor landslides,” said Solak.
