Solemn Opening of the Renewed Rooms of the B&H Archive

arhiv_stetaIn the rooms of the B&H Archive, the ceremony of opening the renewed part of this institution which burned during the protests in Sarajevo on February 7th will be held.

Those rooms are situated at the ground floor of the building of Presidency of B&H. – by Anadolu Agency.

The reconstruction of the mentioned rooms was supported by the Turkish Agency for cooperation and coordination (TIKA) which was one of the first foreign institutions to make contact with the direction of the B&H Archive and offered help. The representatives of this institution held meetings with the director of the Archive, Šaban Zahirović and launched an initiative for help and renewal afterwards.

As the coordinator of TIKA for B&H, Fatih Karace said, Tika restored two warehouse spaces in the B&H Archive which burned in the fire and established a system of mobile shells as well as some other modern equipment.

The chairman of the Presidency of B&H Bakir Izetbegović, the deputy of the president of TIKA Ali Maskan and other numerous guests from Turkey will attend the ceremony.
