An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale has struck off the coast of Chile, the German Center for Geoscience Research said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 104 kilometers.
The VolcanoDiscovery website says the epicenter was in the southern Pacific Ocean, 124 kilometers northwest of Copiapo.
