Two locations were reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, this morning at 04:30 a.m. in Koševo Street, Centar Sarajevo municipality, that a glass portal was damaged, and in Džamijska Street, Novo Sarajevo municipality at 06:00 this morning, also damage to a glass portal, said the spokeswoman of the MUP and KS Mersiha Novalić.
She pointed out that an investigation will be conducted and that actions will be taken in this regard.
The Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs (FUZIP) issued a statement yesterday stating that pork DNA was found in frozen beef burek produced by Krajina Klas d.o.o. Banja Luka, which was sold by the bakery ‘Manja’.
– Due to the increased interest of the public and frequent media announcements, we would like to inform the public that during the regular inspections of the Federal Veterinary Inspectorate in the Sarajevo Canton at the end of last year, the operations of the business entity ‘Krajina Klas’ d.o.o. were carried out. Banja Luka, Business unit Pekotet ‘Manja’ Vogošća. A large number of irregularities and misdemeanors in the field of veterinary medicine were found in the supervision, for which the prescribed measures were taken in accordance with the Law on Veterinary Medicine and misdemeanor sanctions were imposed – FUZIP announced yesterday.
During the inspection control, among other things, a product declared as ‘burek mini frozen’, quick-frozen pulled dough with beef filling, net quantity 160 gr (ingredients: water, wheat flour T-550, beef (38.60 percent) ), sunflower oil, soybean flakes, salt, wheat gluten, pepper, flavor enhancer (monosodium glutamate), flour treatment agent E920), produced by ‘Krajina Klas’ d.o.o. Banja Luka.
For the purposes of laboratory analysis of quality and microbiological correctness, as well as checking the origin of the ingredients (meat), during the inspection, product samples were taken and sent to the laboratory for testing residues and food quality, where the presence of pork protein was determined in the contents of the burek by screening using an unaccredited method.
Given that the method used was not accredited, a sample of the same product was also subsequently sent for analysis by an accredited method (molecular analysis real time PCR) to an accredited laboratory of the European Union, which confirmed the presence of pig DNA in the burek declared as a beef product, they stated from FUZIP, Fena news agency writes.
