The Houthis do not plan to give up their Attacks in the Red Sea, they have also announced the use of Submarine Weaponry

The leader of the Yemeni Houthi group, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, has announced that they will not relent in their attacks on ships in the Red Sea and has declared the introduction of new weaponry.

He emphasized that the Houthis will incorporate submarine weapons into their attacks on maritime vessels and have announced that they will continue their attacks as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

“Operations in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden will continue, escalate, and will be effective,” added al-Houthi.

The Houthi group’s previous attacks have disrupted international navigation in this area, accounting for approximately 12 percent of maritime traffic. Their activities force companies to travel a longer, but also more expensive, route around Africa.

Additionally, al-Houthi stressed that the United States (U.S.) and the United Kingdom (UK) airstrikes on their positions have failed to destabilize the Yemeni movement, and he reiterated that they will continue with their attacks, Klix.ba writes.
