Numerous participants of the Peace March from several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world have set off for the gathering point, Nezuk, where the Peace March will begin tomorrow.

So far, around 4,500 participants have registered, including 88 organized groups. This year, it will start from two directions: from Nezuk on July 8 and from Žepa on July 9. The March will end on July 10, when participants will arrive at the Potočari Memorial Center. Regardless of their starting point, all participants share the same message – a message of peace, truth and unity. This is the 21st Peace March, and a large number of organized groups and individuals are expected to participate.

Each stage is between 25 and 30 kilometers long. Participants will walk along the following route: Nezuk – Baljkovica – Parlog – Crni Vrh – Snagovo – Liplje – Jošanica – Donja Kamenica – Bakrači – Glodi – Udrč – Cerska – Kaldrmica – Đugum – Mravinjci – Burnice – Kameničko Brdo – Ravni Buljim – Jaglići – Šušnjari – Budak – Potočari (Memorial Center).

6,765 victims of the genocide have been buried in the Srebrenica – Potočari Memorial Center so far, while 250 of them have been buried in local cemeteries at the request of their families. The victims come from different municipalities, mostly from Srebrenica, Bratunac, Vlasenica, Zvornik and Milići.

They were found in 150 locations, including 77 mass graves. The youngest victim buried in Potočari was a newborn girl, Fatima Muhić, while the oldest was grandmother Šaha Izmirlić, born in 1901.
