Thirty-day Custody Measure for Seven Suspects in International Recruitment for Prostitution

After interviewing the suspects, the case Prosecutor of Section III of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will submit a motion to the Court of BiH to order a thirty-day custody measure for a total of seven suspects.

The custody was moved for Zlatan Ćuk, born in 1989 in Bijeljina – Milisav Tomić, born in 1992 in Bijeljina – Siniša Perić, born in 1986 in Tuzla – Dragan Kakuća, born in 1992 in Sarajevo – Srđan Šojić, born in 1995 in Bratunac – Tijana Maksimović, born in 1992 in Ruma – Željko Vujić, born in 1984 in Bijeljina.

The persons deprived of their liberty in a police operation codenamed “Crystal” are suspected of the criminal offences of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, international recruitment for prostitution, smuggling of persons, facilitating the use of narcotic drugs and unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition.

Considering that it was established during the investigation that female Serbian citizens, as well as some of the suspects, entered Bosnia and Herzegovina illegally, without going through the procedure of protection measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, the triage and health check of persons deprived of liberty and brought to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was requested.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH continues its intensive work on the case.
